The Victoria Cross for Australia has been formally presented to the family of the late Private Richard Norden, in recognition for his bravery and dedication to service during the Vietnam War.

On 15 August 2025, we will mark 80 years since Victory in the Pacific Day – the day on which the Second World War ended.
The Albanese Labor Government is pleased to announce a $150,000 grant towards Townsville City Council’s VP80 – Victory in the Pacific Commemorations.
