MEDIA RELEASE

Veterans' Affairs Minister to visit South Australia

Veterans in South Australia will have the opportunity to meet with the Minister for Veterans' Affairs Darren Chester who will be visiting the electorates of Mayo, Boothby and Grey next week.

Mr Chester said a series of roundtable discussions with veterans and ex-service organisations would provide a valuable opportunity to discuss issues affecting them and their families, hear their concerns and receive their feedback.

"Our Government is putting veterans and their families first and provides more than $11 billion per year in services and programs to support 290,000 Australians," Mr Chester said.

"There's a lot more work to be done but we are supporting our veterans and their families better than ever before and I'm confident we are heading in the right direction.

"I look forward to meeting and speaking to as many veterans as I can while in South Australia and I encourage all veterans and their families to keep engaging with my Department on issues affecting them."
