WOODSIDE DONATES $10 MILLION TO THE ANZAC CENTENARY PUBLIC FUND

The Anzac Centenary Public Fund has received a one-off $10 million donation from Woodside, adding to the growing list of corporate and public donations supporting the ongoing series of ANZAC commemoration events.

Woodside’s generous contribution highlights the corporate sector’s support for the Anzac Centenary in creating a lasting legacy for all Australians.

Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for the Centenary of ANZAC, Senator the Hon. Michael Ronaldson, thanked Woodside for its contribution.

“The support from Woodside for the Anzac Centenary Public Fund demonstrates that corporate Australia wants to share the Anzac Centenary with the community.”

“Woodside’s commitment, one shared by the Commonwealth Government, of providing opportunities for the Australian community to share in and commemorate a Century of Service and the Anzac Centenary, is to be applauded”.

“The Centenary of the Anzac will be our nation’s most defining period of national commemoration. A time of reflection, remembrance and commemoration of the dedication of so many Australians who have defended our way of life, our values and our freedoms,” he said.

Woodside CEO and Managing Director Peter Coleman said donating to the ANZAC Centenary demonstrated the company’s commitment to commemorating Australian’s past and present who serve their country.

“As a proud Australian company we are pleased to contribute to this important series of events.”

“The Anzac Centenary Public Fund provides an opportunity for all Australian communities to benefit from the ANZAC commemorations,” he said.
